Just a couple of weeks ago we were treated to the first teaser poster for The Three Stooges, the Farrelly Brothers modern take on the comedy troupe. Unfortunately it was basically just a black outline of the "nyuck nyuck" trio, who we know to be played by Sean Hayes, Will Sasso, and Chris Diamantopoulos. Yeah, I don't know who that last guy is either. Even though I continue to be disappointed by the casting, there's no denying they look the part now that the first image of them has been released....
Admittedly I'm not all that interested in this film because it just seems like a bad idea. I love the Stooges, but do I really want to see other people playing them having pie fights and hitting each other with hammers? It doesn't sound like a recipe for a very funny film, that's all. We may have to rely on the far superior supporting cast, including Jane Lynch, Larry David, and Sofa Vergara.
