The upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly has the most revealing new images from Ridley Scott's Prometheus we've seen yet. In the opening spread, we get a look at three of the chief characters, Noomi Rapace(The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) as Elizabeth Shaw;Logan Marshall-Green as her love interest, Holloway; and the always awesome Michael Fassbender as David, an android and an obvious precursor to Bishop, the robot we see in later films played by Lance Henriksen. In that image, they appear to be in a room full of strange pods, possibly cocoons. Cocoons usually spell bad news not just in Aliens but in pretty much every sci-fi film ever made.
More intriguing, and further revealed in another image seemingly from the same scene, is our first solid look at the much talked about "giant head", dominating the so-called "Ampule Room" and staring down on them like some sort of mad god. The other key image features Charlize Theron as the ever present corporate figurehead, Meredith Vickers, and Idris Elba as Captain Janek as they pilot The Prometheus, which is revealed to be the ship's name.

After being hesitant about Scott returning to the world he so dutifully crafted in Alien, this has easily become one of the most anticipated films of next year. Prometheus will open on June 8th.
