Pete Docter's next Pixar film to be set inside a young girl's mind

During that flurry of Pixar news coming out of the Disney Expo back in August, one major story stood out above all. That was the report of the next film from Pete Docter(Monsters Inc.), an unconventional project exploring fantastic worlds and set inside the human mind. Details have been zero since then, with the assumption that whatever it turned out to be, it would probably take over the May 30th 2014 release date Pixar locked up a few months ago.

On The Charlie Rose Show, John Lasseter dropped a bit more info about the film, and to me it sounds like their most ambitious one yet....

Lasseter: Pete Docter, from Monsters, Inc. and Up, is doing a new film that takes place inside of a girl’s mind and it is about her emotions as characters, and that is unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

I'll be curious to see how this plays out. Are we talking little symbols for "love" and "shyness" walking around cracking jokes? I mean, it's not going to turn out like that terrible Fox series, Herman's Head, is it? [Big Screen Animation]
