Do you smell what the Rock is cookin'? As we inch closer to the June 29th release of G.I. Joe: Retaliation, it's becoming clearer that Paramount Pictures knows who is driving the engine behind the sequel, and it isn't Channing Tatum. In fact, Tatum has been practically absent from the marketing materials for the film, even though he's by far the biggest name returning from 2010's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. This has clearly become Dwayne Johnson's show, and the latest poster is only more evidence of that.
Johnson stands locked and loaded, looking badass and ready for some action in the latest one-sheet, discovered by Hisstank.com at the Hasbro Toy Fair. Taking on the roll of Roadblock, who fortunately appears to not be a rhyming chef like in the cartoon, Johnson will jump into battle alongside Tatum, Adrienne Palicki, Rza, Elodie Yung, Ray Park, Bruce Willis, and numerous others in the continued battle against Cobra.
