The team is a time bomb in the full trailer for 'The Avengers'!

Let's face it, The Avengers is every fanboy's wish come true. When superhero movies started to become popular with the emergence of Blade, Spider-Man, and the X-men, this is what we all dreamed of. To see Marvel's finest collection of heroes all together in the same film. While we'll likely never get to see all of Marvel's A-list heroes brought into the fold, The Avengers is still the biggest thing to happen in the genre yet. At least until Justice League gets off the ground.

Marvel has played this smartly, beginning with the first Iron Man movie which not only helped make Robert Downey Jr. marketable again, but also gave the studio a star to build around. Iron Man 2 was the turning point, while last year's Thor and Captain America films sent us on a rocket sled to where we are now, with Joss Whedon's The Avengers a mere two months away from release.

A full trailer has been unveiled, and it looks as if Marvel has spared no expense in making this everything fans expect it to be. The conceit of The Avengers team has always been their conflict of personalities, overcome to serve the greater good. Iron Man was the scientist, who didn't believe in gods or magic, which puts him at odds with Thor, who idolizes the warrior spirit of Captain America. Based on what we see here as well as in the teaser and Super Bowl spot, the biggest threat to the team isn't Loki and his alien minions, it's that the team might just crumble from within.  Sure, the bulk of the footage is of the impressive cast posing, flying, and smashing things, but The Avengers should be cool first and foremost. Whedon and Co. appear to have hit the nail on the head. We'll find out for sure when The Avengers assembles on May 4th. For now, check out the brand new trailer....[TheFilmStage]
