Trailer Time: 'The Deep Blue Sea', starring Tom Hiddleston and Rachel Weisz

There just doesn't seem to be a place for soulful, period romance dramas anymore. They've all been replaced by whatever Nicholas Sparks nonsense can lure in the younger demo. For Terence Davis, making his return to directing features after more than a decade, it's not the best situation for his new film, The Deep Blue Sea.

Starring Rachel Weisz and Tom Hiddleston(War Horse), the 1950s set story follows a woman on the day she intends to commit suicide. The attempt failing, we are taken back to the events which led to it, mainly her stifling marriage to a judge and the passionate sexual affair she enters into with an WWII pilot. When the first trailer was released, I thought it had a good chance of being released in time to qualify for this past Academy Awards. Obviously that didn't happen, and the film has had little in the way of buzz since it's run through the festival circuit. We'll find out if that was a bad sign when The Deep Blue Sea opens on March 23rd. Check out the latest trailer below....
