Is Harmony Korine, the guy behind such weird movies as Trash Humpers, Ken Park, and Julien Donkey-Boy, finally stepping into the mainstream? Eh, probably not. Even though Spring Breakers may sound conventional in plot, you can bet your ass something that'll be hard to scrub out of your brain is going to happen.
We're getting a handful of new pics from the film, including our first look at James Franco looking gangsta as a rappin' drug dealer. Starring Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine, Vanessa Hudgens, and Selena Gomez, the story centers on a group of college girls who rob a fast food joint to help pay for their annual spring break vacay. When they get caught and sent to prison, it's Franco's character who bails them out, but only if they agree to kill his nemesis.
Even though this is bound to be vastly different than what Sofia Coppola is doing with The Bling Ring, it's good to see so many beautiful, wholesome young starlets doing nasty things on screen like this.
