Woody Allen makes a rare appearance on the poster for his new film, To Rome With Love, and judging by the looks of it he seems baffled by some sort of dessert treat. Maybe he's checking the calorie count?
As you probably figured, the Rome set romance features Roberto Benigni, Ellen Page, Jesse Eisenberg, Alec Baldwin, and Penelope Cruz in a series of vignettes dealing with love and other misadventures. Greta Gerwig, Alison Pill, and a host of local superstars co-star, with some of the stories told completely in Italian. Yeah, there will be some reading, folks.
While not as poetic as the Midnight in Paris poster, Allen is clearly focusing the attention on his powerhouse cast, which makes sense considering the film is more of an ensemble. To Rome with Love opens here on June 22nd, and in Italy on April 20th.
