Trailer Time: 'Frankenweenie', directed by Tim Burton

Oh, this was a surprise. The Frankenweenie trailer wasn't supposed to land until later, but here it is a few hours early. Directed by Tim Burton and based on his short film from twenty eight years ago, the stop motion animated horror is the story of the love and loyalty between a boy and his dog. Charlie Tahan voices young Victor Frankenstein, who uses science to bring his pooch back from the dead. Although, as you might expect, there are some clear side effects and it isn't long before Sparky is running roughshod through town.

Nobody does stop motion animation better than Burton, and it appears he's become better at it in the years since Corpse Bride back in 2005. Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Landau, and Martin Short lend their voices to the film, set to open on October 5th. Check out the trailer below...[Bleeding Cool]
