Woody Allen's next film may be shot in Copenhagen
Woody Allen will always be most closely associated with New York City, but his creative juices didn't start flowin' again until he started to venture abroad. Movies like Match Point, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, and Midnight in Paris have shown the director hasn't lost a step, and have proven to be some of the most financially successful of his career. With his latest, Nero Fiddled, taking place in Rome and featuring a number of the city's most popular stars, plans are already afoot for whatever Allen's next project will be.
THR reports that Letty Aronson, Allen's producer on his European set flicks, is in negotiations Danish producer Per Holst about having the next one shot in Copenhagen, Denmark's capital city.. The plan is for it to take place some time in 2013. The Danish government is looking to attract more productions, and will no doubt be providing incentives to lure Allen there.
Whether this pans out or not is anybody's guess, as a number of other cities have been rumored in the past, such as Rio de Janiero and Munich.
