The eyes have it! In The Host, the sci-fi novel from Twilight scribe Stephenie Meyer, a simple ring around a person's pupil indicates they've been possessed by one of the alien Souls that have taken over the earth. It's on the cover of the novel, and was basically all we saw in the teaser trailer a few weeks ago, and now here it is on the first poster for the film. As you can see, they go to great pains to make sure you know Meyer is the lady who wrote that Twilight Saga thing you might have heard of. At least they squeeze in director Andrew Niccol's name. Barely.
Saoirse Ronan takes on a dual role as Melanie Stryder, a young woman who is possessed by a Soul named Wanderer. Mel's determination to find her loved ones and the last remaining human rebel faction forced Wanderer to examine her feelings towards humanity as a whole. Max Irons, Diane Kruger, William Hurt, and Jake Abel co-star. The Host is due to open on March 29th 2013.
