Aziz Ansari the latest to join 'The Apocalypse' with Seth Rogen, James Franco, and Jay Baruchel

The corner is starting to turn for me when it comes to Aziz Ansari. The motor mouthed comedian, who has been wildly unfunny practically everywhere up to and including his current role on Parks and Recreation turned out to be damned funny in last year's 30 Minutes or Less, outshining his bigger named co-stars in Jesse Eisenberg and Danny McBride. Now he's set to join an even bigger comedic line-up as part of The Apocalypse, which will see him riding out the world's end with guys like Seth Rogen and James Franco.

Based on the short film, Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse, a heavy crew of stars which also includes Jay Baruchel, McBride, and Jonah Hill will play themselves as they hang at Franco's crib while outside the planet is basically falling apart. Apparently they're all pretty irritating in close quarters, and soon the clash of personalities starts to make their shelter feel like more of a prison.

Expect to hear lots of other names emerging to make cameos. Hopefully they'll snag a few ladies as well? Like Charlyne Yi, maybe? The Apocalypse will finally arrive next year on June 14th! [Grantland]
