Ok, so you know all that hate we have for trailer teases? Not teaser trailers, but snippets of a future trailer? Yeah, they suck ass. Well, Rian Johnson gets a pass. Why? Because Rian Johnson is beyond awesome. He can do whatever the in the sam hill he wants as far as I'm concerned.
The tease for this Thursdays Looper trailer has emerged, with more to come over the next two days. In this bit we get to see the close knit bond Johnson has with star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who got his biggest career boost starring in Brick for Johnson back in 2005. Gordon-Levitt would make a very brief, blink and you'll miss him cameo in The Brothers Bloom just a few years later. The two spend a good deal of time breaking down the folding plot, which has Gordon-Levitt as a mob hitman in the present who kills victims sent back in time from the future. Imagine his surprise when his latest target turns out to be the future version of himself, played by Bruce Willis. D'oh.
