All week we've been treated to a build up for the Looper trailer, and now it's finally here in all it's crazy sci-fi glory. Was the wait and all the repetitive teasers worth it? Eh, kinda.
Perhaps because I'm such a huge fan of Rian Johnson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, along with the twisty premise, that maybe too many expectations were put on the trailer. It's certainly action packed, and gives us a good look at a barely recognizable, prosthetic-laden Gordon-Levitt as he squares off against a future version of himself played by Bruce Willis. It's just we don't get much of a sense of the plot in the trailer, which is what I'm attracted to most. Plus we barely see any of Emily Blunt, and less Blunt makes me sad.
Still, it looks great, and I have zero doubt Looper will more than live up to expectations when it arrives on September 28th. Check out the trailer and judge for yourself....
