Trailer Time: 'The Magic of Belle Isle', starring Morgan Freeman and Virginia Madsen

It's crazy to think that Rob Reiner, who directed such classic comedies as This Is Spinal Tap and When Harry Met Sally, has faded into Hollywood obscurity for the most part. He still makes the occasional film, like 2010's coming of age comedy, Flipped, but it never got much of a release and disappeared quietly. It's only when he snags someone like Jennifer Aniston for something like Rumor Has It, or Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson for The Bucket List that anybody takes notice.

The Magic of Belle Isle is Reiner's latest, re-teaming him with Freeman for the story of a famous Western author who loses his creative energy after a bout with alcoholism. Taking a break in picturesque Belle Isle, he befriends a beautiful single mom(Virginia Madsen) and her daughters who help set him on the right path. Kenan Thompson, Flipped's Madeline Carroll, and Fred Willard co-star.

June 1st is the date you can check the film out on VOD, and then it will turn up in theaters on July 6th. With Freeman aboard and only a couple of weeks before he shows up in The Dark Knight Rises, maybe people will take notice of this under the radar effort? Check out the trailer below....
