There are so many reasons to be amped up for Louis Leterrier's Now You See Me that to list them all here would take all night. So let's just start that it has a fantastic, high-concept premise, centering on a team of illusionists who use their act to rob from the rich and give to the poor, drawing the attention of an elite team of agents created to shut them down. In a very close second: the incredible cast includes Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Dave Franco, Melanie Laurent, Common, and Isla Fisher. I'm a sucker for a good heist flick, and this has the goods to be something special.
I missed this before, but USA Today revealed the first official image from the film, and it looks like Isla Fisher's character, named Henley, could use a wee bit of assistance. Or an oxygen mask. Or a really long reed pole. Now You See Me features a script co-written by Edwin Ricourt and Boaz Yakin, the latter having just brought us the Jason Statham action flick, Safe.
Now You See Me hits theaters on January 18th 2013!
