Amanda Seyfried flaunts her style in new poster for 'Lovelace'
Movies revolving around the porn industry don't happen that often anymore, and it has nothing to do with the material being too racy. No, it has to do with Paul Thomas Anderson's classic(and my personal fave film of all-time) Boogie Nights pretty much saying everything that needs to be said about it. So it was funny when two films centered on Deep Throat star turned feminist activist, Linda Lovelace, went into production at the same time. It seemed unlikely that both would get made, and with Malin Akerman recently expressing doubt that Inferno would ever be finished, it looks like we have a clear cut winner.
That winner would be Lovelace, the biopic starring Amanda Seyfried as the porn star who reached meteoric levels of fame after starring in the iconic 1972 film, then leading a chaotic life alongside her douchebag husband, Chuck Traynor(Pete Sarsgaard), before cleaning up her act in the later years. Directed by Jeffrey Friedman and Rob Epstein(Howl), it packs an amazing cast who we'll all get to see in their finest 1970s get-ups: James Franco, Hank Azaria, Juno Temple, Sarah Jessica Parker, Bobby Cannavale, Sharon Stone, Chloe Sevigny, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, and Adam Brody.
We get a taste of what that 70s style will look like in the latest poster, featuring a sexy pose from Seyfried. We've seen her tart it up a little bit in the past, but nothing quite like what'll be required for a film like this. It'll be interesting to see if this turns out to be the breakout role she seemed primed for a few years ago, but never quite achieved. Lovelace doesn't have a release date yet, but I'm guessing we'll see it before the end of the year.
