'The End of the World' to include Jason Segel, Emma Watson, and David Krumholtz

Oh ok, we can be wrong here every now and then. Like when we said that Emma Watson's starring role in The Bling Ring and the upcoming drama, Your Voice in My Head, were her biggest steps away from the world of Harry Potter. We were dead wrong, because having a role in Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel's The End of the World is actually it. Sorry, our bad.

Why is it such a big deal? Simple, it moves her firmly into the peripheral Judd Apatow family, getting a chance to work her funnybone in the feature film version of Rogen and Baruchel's viral short. With Rogen and Evan Goldberg behind the camera, it was obvious from the start it'd be a celebrity laden affair, with James Franco, Craig Robinson, Jonah Hill, Aziz Ansari, Danny McBride, and Rihanna all making appearances as themselves. If Watson's addition wasn't enough, she'll be joined by Jason Segel and David Krumholtz(Numbers), with Michael Cera joining if his schedule permits. Didn't you just know he'd be in there somewhere? The rather hysterical idea has all of these famous folks stuck in Franco's house while the apocalypse happens outside their door.

Watson's schedule opened up when filming on Your Voice in My Head, which is being directed by David Yates, was pushed back a few weeks. So it's another bold move for Watson, and her Harry Potter castmates might want to step their game up. The End of the World will hit theaters on May 14th 2013.[Variety]
