*UPDATE* There's now a couple of fresh clips to go along with what we saw this morning. Pattinson still looks stiff and unsure to me.
The first full trailer we saw of David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis showed a ton of promise. Kinetic, sexy, crazy, and Robert Pattinson seemed to have the role of troubled billionaire, Eric Packer, down pat. However, a new clip from the film has emerged and it makes absolutely zero sense.
In it, we see Pattinson at a diner with his wife(Sarah Gadon), and babbling some nonsense about "the inflamed" or something. Not sure if that's a hemorrhoids reference or what? I'm sure it's just something that's better heard in a larger context, but what threw me was the stiffness of the dialogue. It's all very cold and clinical, but not in a way that suggests a rift between the two characters. It's just strangely worded. Throw in Pattinson's shaky acting and...well, I'm worried about this film again.
