Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis reveal their political ads for 'The Campaign'
As if the political season hasn't been funny enough, it's about to get a whole lot funnier. No, I'm not talking about Mitt Romney's latest attempt to seem like a regular human being, I'm talking about The Campaign, a political comedy starring Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis, and directed by Jay Roach(Game Change).
Previously known as Southern Rivals and Dog Fight, the film follows two political rivals competing for a congressional seat in a hotly contested North Carolina district. While we're still a few months away from the August 10th release, the ad campaigns for the two political enemies is in full swing with the release of two clips, basically teaser trailers promoting each candidate.
Unveiled on their Facebook pages, the clips introduce to Cam Brady(Ferrell), a polished campaigner with gleeming white teeth, but still clearly a moron. The other features Marty Huggins(Galifianakis), a relative newcomer who seems a bit overwhelmed by the scope of big time politics. Oh, and he's also an idiot. Overall, I'm not really impressed by either clip. As much as I loved Ferrell George W. Bush impersonation, it didn't need to be brought back here in such a mediocre way. Here's hoping the future trailers are considerably funnier....
