Rob Reiner returns to horror with 'You Belong to Me'

Is Rob Reiner about to be a major factor in Hollywood again? After being largely ignored for years, this week saw him signing up for an acting role for the first time in 10 years, joining Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio's The Wolf of Wall Street. Now the director best known for his romantic comedies will make his return to helm his first thriller since 1990's Misery.

THR reports that Reiner will direct the psychological horror, You Belong To Me, which is already finding comparisons to Cape Fear. Based on a script by David Murray, the story follows a psychiatrist who makes the cardinal mistake of talking about his personal life with a patient, presumably to deadly results. Apparently the script has a major twist finale that drew Reiner to taking the project on.

Casting is currently underway for the four lead roles, with production slated to begin this fall in New York. Reiner's latest film, The Magic of Belle Isle, is currently available On Demand(you can watch it here) and will open in limited release on July 6th.
