Sure Shots: Jon Hamm; 'Tarzan'; James Corden

* As if the thought of comedy heavyweights Larry David(Curb Your Enthusiasm) and director Greg Mottola(Superbad) teaming up for an improvisational comedy wasn't exciting enough, they've gone and made it better by adding Jon Hamm into the mix. The insanely talented Mad Men star is in final talks to play the "nemesis" of the film, which apparently will have David playing a version of himself. Does that mean Hamm will as well? Oh this is just too awesome. Filming should get underway in the fall, so hopefully we'll find out the title and a few more plot details soon. [Showbiz411]

* What's with the sudden Tarzan obsession? Constantin is putting together an awful sounding take on the character with Kellan Lutz and Spencer Locke, and Warner Brothers now has two that are in the works. Craig Brewer(Hustle and Flow) recently put together a package for an entire trilogy based on the Edgar Rice Burroughs character, but that wasn't enough, as a rival project at the studio has emerged with David Yates(Harry Potter), Susanna White(Nanny McPhee Returns), and Gary Ross(The Hunger Games) circling. The script will be written by Adam Cozad. Obviously, one of these projects isn't going to fly, or they'll be merged somehow. [Deadline]

* Tony Award winning actor, James Corden, has joined Can A Song Save Your Life?, the new romance from director John Carney(Once) and produced by Judd Apatow. The film stars Keira Knightley as a woman who heads to New York City with her boyfriend to pursue their musical careers, only to be left high and dry when he dumps her to fly solo. That sends her into the arms of a down 'n out record producer, played by Mark Ruffalo. Corden, who unfortunately was last seen in The Three Musketeers, will play Knightley's best friend. Adam Levine and Hailee Steinfeld co-star. [Deadline]
