Comic-Con News: 'Silent Hill: Revelation 3D' red band footage released

Uh, so it's been six years since Silent Hill came out ... is there really anybody clamoring for the sequel, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D? Perhaps Open Road Films knows it's facing an uphill battle with the film, slated for release October 25, which is why we got some new red band footage out of Comic-Con today. Maybe.

The film stars Adelaide Clemens (whose biggest little part was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, as "carnival girl") as a 17-year-old who, right before she turns the big 1-8, is overwhelmed by horrific nightmares and her father's disappearance. When she begins to unravel that mystery, she realizes her entire life may not be what she knows. Clemens will be joined in the film by Kit Harington (of HBO's Game of Thrones, looking so adorable in the above picture!), Carrie-Anne Moss of The Matrix and Memento fame, and Malcolm McDowell, the biggest badass out of A Clockwork Orange.

As is the way of horrifying video-game-turned-movie Silent Hill, it looks like Clemens and Harrington will have to face a bunch of unsavory stuff in their quest for the truth ... umm, like the straight-up terrifyingly unsettling curses in the below clip. Seriously, I now hate everyone else at Punch Drunk Critics for forcing me to watch this clip.
