Comic-Con: Thomas Jane returns to 'The Punisher' in an awesome short film!

On Saturday night, Thomas Jane held a fun little secret screening of a project he promised would be totally outside the Hollywood system. Given the actor's rather confrontational attitude and unpredictable nature, nobody was quite sure what the heck it would be, but it was guaranteed to be shocking and probably marginally illegal. Turns out it was a little bit of both.

What Jane revealed was this awesome short film titled Dirty Laundry, and it sees him returning to the role of Punisher for the first time since his underrated 2004 film.  I always thought he was perfect as Frank Castle, and this film, which features an appearance by Ron Perlman, only convinces me even more of that. The rights to The Punisher have since reverted back to Marvel, so maybe we'll see a Punisher film in the future? As for whether or not Jane gets the role....well, this movie probably ensures that will never happen, as he didn't exactly get their permission to make it.  Oh well. I can just watch this over and over again and be happy. The film was directed by Phil Joanou(Gridiron Gang), and written by Chad St. John(Motor City). Check out the movie below, and pray The Punisher returns to the big screen soon...
