It was back in March of last year we learned that Shia Labeouf was in line to star in an adaptation of Joe Hill's bestselling fantasy/horror novel, Horns. It was a heck of a get for Hill, landing a proven box office star with plenty of franchise experience to go along with director Alexandre Aja(The Hills Have Eyes). We haven't heard much of the film since, and apparently things have changed, because Labeouf is out, and in steps Daniel Radcliffe.
The ex-Harry Potter is taking on the lead role of Ig Perrish, who wakes up one day to discover that he's grown a pair of magic horns on his head. Granting him the power to force the truth from whomever he wants, Ig uses them to help uncover the truth behind the rape and murder of his girlfriend.
Radcliffe is a definite step up from Labeouf, but he doesn't seem to be straying all that far from the world of the supernatural. He's comfortable there, though, and probably increases the chances of the movie's success.
