There have been a lot of ladies in Wolverine's life, but none has caused him more headaches than Viper. The green-haired villainess has been a friend, but mostly a thorn in his side for decades, even recently blackmailing him into marrying her as a means of retaining control of her criminal empire. But she also had a hand to play in Wolverine's early Japanese adventures, and apparently she'll be a part of The Wolverine, as Jessica Biel is said to be in talks for the role.
Twitch has the story, and it surprises me because I thought she'd be a character they'd leave out or be unable to use. Viper, also known as Madame Hydra, has just as many ties to Captain America and S.H.I.E.L.D., so I wasn't sure who held her rights. Apparently she falls under the X-men umbrella, and Biel is sexy and tough enough to fit the role perfectly.
We've seen a ton of activity on the film over the last week, with nearly all of the Japanese roles already filled. The Wolverine hits theaters on July 26th 2013.
