A part of me was hoping we'd see a little bit more from Gangster Squad at Comic-Con, but with a pair of trailers out already, Warner Brothers didn't really see the point. Fortunately, they're treating us to a new character banner for the film, featuring one of the hottest images of Emma Stone I've ever seen. Kinda hard to pull my eyes away, to be honest. Yep, totally worth going to war over.
Set in 1949 Los Angeles, the film follows real life gangster Mickey Cohen(Sean Penn), who runs the city not only with his heavily armed crew, but with the protection of the police. Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin lead a crack "gangster squad" put together by the LAPD to root out the corruption, and put an end to Cohen's reign. Emma Stone, Giovanni Ribisi, Anthony Mackie, Michael Pena, Nick Nolte, and Robert Patrick co-star.
Gangster Squad is directed by Ruben Fleischer and hits theaters on September 7th. [Yahoo!]
