Sure Shots: Kristin Scott Thomas; Kid Cudi; Harold Perrineau

* After a couple of years in development, Suite Francias from director Saul Dibb(The Duchess) took a big leap forward last week when Michelle Williams entered talks to star in the WWII-era romantic thriller. Now you can add the great Kristin Scott Thomas to the cast, joining the adaptation of Irene Nemirovsky's novel which centers on the troubled love affair between a French woman and a Nazi officer. Production is set to begin next spring in London. [Screen Daily]

* Apparently nobody in Hollywood actually watched HBO's How to Make It in America, otherwise they'd stop hiring Kid Cudi for movie roles. The popular musician-turned-actor has now joined the indie romantic comedy Two Night Stand. Directed by Max Nichols, the film stars Analeigh Tipton(Crazy Stupid Love) and Miles Teller(Footloose) as two people who meet online and have a one night stand, only to get snowed in the next morning and forced to spend time together. Cudi, aka Scott Mescudi, will play the boyfriend of Tipton's roommate, played by Jessica Szohr(Tower Heist). [THR]

* Soon to be seen in Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty, Harold Perrineau has now joined the cast of Ten, the latest film from director David Ayer(End of Watch). He'll join fellow Lost alum Josh Holloway in starring opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sam Worthington in a story that follows a team of DEA agents who rob a drug cartel, only to get picked off one-by-one. Malin Akerman, Mireille Enos, Dawn Olivieri, Terrence Howard, Joe Manganiello, and Olivia Williams co-star. [Variety]
