New photos from 'Riddick', 'About Time', and 'Welcome to the Punch'

Another day, another new photo from Riddick pops up on Vin Diesel's Facebook page. The second long-running franchise he's got headed to theaters this year, this one bring back the galactic antihero for an adventure set on a desolate planet, with his only hope of escape to alert his enemies of his whereabouts. Directed by David Twohy, Riddick opens September 6th with Karl Urban, Dave Bautista, and Katee Sackhoff co-starring.

Although Richard Curtis has kept busy over the years, recently directing Pirate Radio and writing Steven Spielberg's War Horse, he hasn't done anything that comes close to the romantic glory of Love Actually. Whether or not his time travel love story, About Time, can do it remains to be seen but we're going to be waiting a bit longer to find out. Universal has bumped the film, which stars Rachel McAdams and Domhnall Gleeson, from its May perch all the way down to November 1st where it will be swallowed up by Ender's Game. Not good. Gleeson plays a man capable of time travel who ventures back to meet the girl of his dreams over and over. The new photo shows a happy moment between the two, but if we know anything from McAdams' past experience in The Time Traveler's Wife, things are bound to get kinda dark.

Promising director Eran Creevy is following up his 2009 cult hit Shifty with the Brit crime thriller, Welcome to the Punch. The much talked about film stars James McAvoy as a London cop who gets one final chance to capture his arch-nemesis (Mark Strong) when he's forced to emerge out of hiding. The recently trailer left me a little cold, but there's too much talent to completely blow this off. A handful of new photos show off the gritty nature the film is aiming for, along with co-star Andrea Riseborough (W.E.) and a grandma who probably should have gone out for Bingo. Welcome to the Punch opens on March 27th.
