I'm sorry, but this is The Lords of Salem, right? Back in October we received the first teaser trailer for the latest macabre piece of work from Rob Zombie, and it made absolutely no sense. It was basically a bunch of random, creepy images stitched together. Might work as some sort of art project, but as a compelling trailer it failed miserably. Now we're getting the first full-length trailer, and while it actually shows some recognizable plot, it's certainly not the story we've been expecting.
Supposedly about a bunch of radio DJs who unleash a coven of deadly witches on the town of Salem, there's absolutely none of that here. Instead we have what looks like just another demonic possession flick, with all sorts of mumbo jumbo about prophecies, Satan, and....what the heck are they doing to that goat? So far this looks like stylish crap in the typical Zombie mold.
The Lords of Salem stars Sheri Moon Zombie, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Ken Foree, Bruce Davison, Dee Wallace, Meg Foster, and Maria Conchita Alonso, arriving in theaters on April 26th.
