Taylor Kitsch heads to serial killer flick 'Exit 147'
Last year did not turn out well for Taylor Kitsch. The Friday Night Lights star had a string of really big flops, the sort that usually devastate studios and crush an actor's leading man hopes. While he probably won't be getting any tentpole franchise anytime soon, he's still able to land starring gigs with some top notch creative talent. Bloody Disgusting reports Kitsch will star in Exit 147, a serial killer film directed by Julian Jarrold, who recently helmed HBO's Alfred Hitchcock film, The Girl.
The script by Travis Milloy (Pandorum) would have Kitsch as a man driving across the desert at night, only to be arrested buy a small town sheriff and held captive as part of some sadistic game. Kitsch hasn't been confirmed yet, nor has a production schedule been nailed down.
If Kitsch had won the Finnick role in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, nobody would be talking about how disastrous his 2012 had been, but oh well. This gives him the chance to work with a seasoned vet in Jarrold, who is best known for Brit films like Brideshead Revisited, Becoming Jane, and Red Riding: 1974.
