Two new Victory Tour posters for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire'
We're still nine months away from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and for fans of Suzanne Collins' books or last year's hit film, it's been a long wait. But Lionsgate has started the marketing campaign early, releasing a number of photos previously, and also using the film's Facebook page to get eager fans more involved. Part of their clever plan is treating the storyline as a part of our reality, and part of that are these two new posters sent straight from the Capitol.
The two one-sheets are for the "victory tour" Katniss and Peeta embark on after their win in the 74th Hunger Games. Both images play into the manufactured celebrity culture that dominates the nation of Panem, allowing for a cruel competition like the Hunger Games to exist and thrive. While all may look peaceful now, their win and open defiance of President Snow has stirred up a growing revolution amongst the downtrodden citizens, and to quell it Peeta and Katniss will find themselves thrust back into a familiar danger.
Arriving on November 22nd, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is directed by Francis Lawrence and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Elizabeth Banks, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Toby Jones, Jeffrey Wright, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Lenny Kravitz.
