Two posters and banner for 'Star Trek Into Darkness'

In case it hasn't been made clear already, Starfleet is in for some seriously tough times in a few weeks when Star Trek Into Darkness comes around. J.J. Abrams' sequel will feature a villainous turn by Benedict Cumberbatch as the mysterious John Harrison, who in every bit of footage we've seen appears to have the upper hand on Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), and the rest of the Enterprise crew.

Paramount has released two new posters and a character banner for the film, one of which shows the shocking image of the Enterprise hurtling towards certain doom. But lest one think this is just a personal grudge between the guys, Zoe Saldana gets in the action on the other one-sheet as Uhura. She's also one of the four featured on the banner, indicating her role in the film is going to be pretty significant.

Star Trek Into Darkness lifts off on May 17th.
