Katniss stands tall in new poster for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire'
Katniss Everdeen was just an ordinary girl when The Hunger Games began, but by the time it was over not only was she a woman but the face of a growing rebellion. In Francis Lawrence's sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, we see Katniss begin to live up to the mantle of "freedom fighter", and that's reflected in a bold new poster featuring the stirring quote, “The sun persists in rising, so I make myself stand.”
The visually striking one-sheet features Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) standing heroically atop a mountain, overlooking the country that she's committed to protecting. It's also The film sees her and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) embarking on a "Victory Tour" across Panem in celebration of their survival in the previous Hunger Games. As rebellion swells, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) makes his play for revenge by initiating the Quarter Quell, the 75th Hunger Games that thrusts the two lovers back into the fight against previous winners.
Starring Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Lenny Kravitz, Jena Malone, Jeffrey Wright, Toby Jones, Stanley Tucci, and Amanda Plummer. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens on November 22nd.
