New Posters for 'Only God Forgives', 'Elysium', 'Crystal Fairy', 'Paranoia', and Many More

After the release of the Kristin Scott Thomas character poster for Only God Forgives, two more have been issued featuring Ryan Gosling and Vithaya Pansringarm, who plays the brutal cop known as the Angel of Vengeance. Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, the Thailand-set flick has Gosling as a man seeking violent retribution for the death of his brother. Only God Forgives opens on July 19th.

Yesterday we received an exciting 3-minute trailer for Neill Blomkamp's Elyisum, and today we're getting a new IMAX poster showcasing its star, Matt Damon. He plays a terminally ill man desperately trying to reach the space station, Elysium, where the rich live a disease-free existence high above a devastated Earth. Also starring Jodie Foster, Alice Braga, Sharlto Copley, and Wagner Moura, Elysium arrives on August 9th.

Although Crystal Fairy may sound like the name for a psychedelic hallucinogen, it's actually not the name of the drug Michael Cera's character is trekking through Chile trying to find in Sebastian Silva's new film. It's the name of the free-spirited girl played by Gaby Hoffman, who becomes the center of the trippy road trip comedy. The newest poster is basically an alternate version of a previous one, with Cera's character clutching his beloved cactus. You can check out my review of Crystal Fairy here.

A new poster has emerged for SXSW award-winner Short Term 12, which stars Brie Larson as a young woman dealing with her own personal issues while working with troubled youths at a foster care facility. It looks like the sort of role that could mark a dramatic career shift for Larson, leading to much bigger and better things. Opening on August 23rd, the film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, and co-stars John Gallagher Jr. and Rami Malek.

Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, Emma Roberts, and Will Poulter feature on four new character posters for We're the Millers. They play a fake family assembled by Sudeikis to help him transport a large shipment of weed from Mexico to Colorado. Of course, it doesn't go as planned and all of their various quirks only make the situation worse. We're the Millers opens on August 9th, and it may be worth checking out if only to watch Aniston's striptease.

This new poster for Brian De Palma's Passion is considerably more boring than the erotic revenge thriller promises to be. Based on the French film, Love Crime, it stars Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams as ad execs whose workplace rivalry quickly becomes personal. Passion opens on August 30th.

Because children are always creepy, and babies shrouded in fog even more so, the latest poster for Insidious: Chapter Two is pretty chilling. James Wan brings back Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne as the heads of the Lambert clan, who must now contend with the entity having possessed Wilson's character. Co-starry Ty Simpkins, Lin Shaye, and Barbara Hershey, the film haunts theaters on September 13th.

Do these posters for Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters remind anyone else of the profile one-sheets for The Hunger Games? That clearly seems to be what Fox is aiming for, but it's unlikely audiences will turn out in the same numbers. Logan Lerman is back as the titular son of Poseidon, who must now venture to the Bermuda Triangle and find the Golden Fleece in order to save his home. Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Stanley Tucci, and Nathan Fillion will co-star when the film opens on August 7th.

Ok, so the trailer for Paranoia was pretty awful, but there's no denying that cast looks like a lot of fun. Not necessarily the uber-boring Liam Hemsworth, but Amber Heard, Gary Oldman, and Harrison Ford may be worth the price of admission alone. Unfortunately directed by Robert Luketic, the story centers on an ambitious employee who hopes to climb the corporate ladder by spying on his boss's rival, only to have the tables turned on him. Paranoia hits theaters on August 16th.
