House party movies are a personal favorite of mine, and we've seen a number of them lately. Probably the best of those was last year's Project X, which I thought did a fantastic job of capturing the madness of a party that has spiraled totally out of control (been to a few of those myself). But what if you were to take Project X and throw in a bunch of clones and mix in a few sci-fi paradoxes and stuff like that? You'd get the weird new trailer for +1, that's what.
Directed by Dennis Iliadis (The Last House on the Left) and starring Rhys Wakefield (The Purge), Ashley Hinshaw (About Cherry), Natalie Hall, and Logan Miller (The Bling Ring), +1 takes place at the biggest party of the year. When a strange event occurs and reality is disrupted, multiple body doubles emerge to change the guests' fates, only for things to get worse as more and more clones emerge.
I can't wait to see how this plays out, and word from a few friends who caught it at SXSW was extremely positive. Grab a guest and check out +1 on September 20th.
