Pushing the envelope for multi-platform releases last year was the R-rated comedy Bachelorette, which hit VOD and topped the ITunes charts. The pairing of writer/director Leslye Headland and star Kirsten Dunst must have been a good one all around, because they are reuniting for Sleeping with Other People, and they're bringing along the red hot Jason Sudeikis.
Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions will once again produce, with Sudeikis playing a womanizer who becomes friends with Dunst's serial cheater. As their friendship deepens, it reforms their chronic infidelity but creates an inconvenient romantic attraction. Dunst and Sudeikis have great comic timing and assuming they have the proper chemistry, this could be a lot of fun.
Sudeikis recently exited SNL but is coming off the $180M summer hit We're the Millers. He'll next tackle Horrible Bosses 2, while Dunst has a cameo in the Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
