Josh Brolin May Be Headed to 'Jurassic World'
Pity poor Sam Neill. This week he can be found slumming it as a prison doctor (who apparently has never heard of the Hippocratic Oath) in the lousy Escape Plan, but back in the day we all remember him as the rugged lead in Jurassic Park. As the fourth film in the franchise Jurassic World continues to round into shape with a fresh young cast, any hope that Neill could come was already pretty slim, but now it's zero as Josh Brolin may come aboard.
According to The Wrap, Brolin is being eyed to star in the dinosaur film, to be directed in 3D by Colin Trevorrow in his first major studio project. No word on Brolin's role, naturally, but don't be surprised if he shows up wearing a cool frontier hat, just like Neill used to. Rub it in, Brolin! If a deal comes together he'll be joining Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, and a bunch of CG dinosaurs that will steal all of the spotlight.
Jurassic World opens June 12th 2015, but you can see Brolin next in Spike Lee's Oldboy on November 27th.
