A new trailer for 47 Ronin has been released and they are really showing off what that massive budget was spent on. Unfortunately all of the spectacle comes at the expense of fleshing out the plot, which has Reeves as a man who joins 47 masterless samurai on a quest to avenge their fallen leader. It doesn't look like any version of the classic story we've ever seen before but that's a good thing considering how often it's been told.
Directed by Carl Erik Rinsch, 47 Ronin opens on Christmas Day.
