Hard to believe it's been eleven years since the indie drama Raising Victor Vargas made a splash on the art house scene. The film, which was a hit at Cannes that year, was quite the breakout for stars Victor Rasuk and Judy Marte, but neither really lived up to the promise. Rasuk has remained the busiest by far, recently starring in the HBO series How to Make it in America and appearing opposite Ashton Kutcher in Jobs, but now he's landed a role that's guaranteed to earn him a swarm of new fans.
Rasuk has taken the role of Jose in Fifty Shades of Grey, and it's a part that will see him squaring off with Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey. Jose is the best friend of Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson), who she describes as being the perfect guy. Unfortunately he's trapped in the "friend zone", but Christian still views him as a romantic threat, causing a great deal of tension. So is there like a "Team Jose" that I don't know about?
