Elizabeth Olsen and Oscar Isaac Have an Illicit Affair in Trailer for 'In Secret'

It's not that Oscar Isaac and Elizabeth Olsen seem to be everywhere lately, it's that they are taking on as wide an array of roles as possible. Isaac is basking in the critical praise for his turn as a downtrodden folk singer the Coens' Inside Llewyn Davis. Olsen is coming off playing author Edie Parker in Kill Your Darlings, which was pretty tame compared to her part in Spike Lee's Oldboy remake. Now the two are coming together for a film that finds them caught in the embrace of a forbidden love.

The first trailer for In Secret (formerly titled Therese) has been released, and for a period romance it at least packs a good deal of passion. Based on the classic novel by Emile Zola, the story follows Therese, a young woman forced into a loveless marriage with her sickly pencil-neck cousin (Tom Felton), with her aunt (Jessica Lange) encouraging the union. Stuck in a boring life with little hope for salvation, she finds an illicit escape in the arms of Laurent (Isaac), her husband's dashing friend.

In Secret arrives next year on February 21st.
