Andrew Garfield and Daniel Bruhl Join 'The Woman in Gold' with Helen Mirren

If Sony is really planning on a new Spider-Man movie every single year as they claim, there won't be many chances for Andrew Garfield to branch out and do other things. So perhaps that is why he's choosing now to come aboard a new project, one that sees him paired up with Helen Mirren and Rush star, Daniel Bruhl.

According to the Daily Mail, Garfield and Bruhl have joined Mirren in The Woman in Gold (formerly The Golden Lady), directed by My Week with Marilyn's Simon Curtis. The true story follows Maria Altmann, a Jewish refugee who mounted a successful legal campaign to reclaim priceless pieces of art stolen from her family by the Nazis. Among these were a collection by Austrian artist Gustav Klimt, which included the Portrait Of Adele Bloch-Bauer I, valued at over $130M. Garfield will play Altmann's lawyer, while Bruhl is an Austrian official.

No word on when filming begins but expect it to be soon.
