Dwayne Johnson Goes to Battle in First 'Hercules' Clip

If The Legend of Hercules showed us anything earlier this year, it was how to get everything about the Greek hero wrong. And moviegoers responded to the unimpressive film accordingly, meaning they avoided it in droves. This summer Brett Ratner hopes audiences choose to give his Hercules a chance, and with Dwayne Johnson as the mythological figure chances are they will.

As MTV ramps up to this weekend's MTV Movie Awards, they've released the first official clip from Hercules, and it's got a lot of yelling, muscles being flexed, and Johnson being a bad ass. Having led his army into a trap, Hercules slips on his Nemean Lion skin and stares down his enemy, "Look at me...do I look afraid?".

With the presence of John Hurt, Ian McShane, and Rufus Sewell, Hercules could be a surprise smash, assuming Ratner doesn't muck it up. Hercules opens July 25th.
