"This movie takes place exactly 4 years after the war in Chicago. The story makes a very natural transition, and reason as to why we have a whole new cast. This Transformers will feel very different then the last three. We are embarking on a new trilogy."
Michael Bay said that some months ago, on the same day he confirmed Jack Reynor for Transformers: Age of Extinction. And actually, rumors had been going around long before that, spurred on by producer Don Murphy, that this next film would kick off a new trilogy. So why everyone is so blown away by Bay's recent comments to EW are beyond me. Anyway, here's what he said...
Bay: It’s kind of like a new Transformers. We had three, the first trilogy, and this is going to be the next one.” The next…trilogy? “Yeah, it’s the first of a new trilogy......I’m not necessarily sure that I’m doing [the others], but that’s what it’s meant for.”
The real story there is that the connections between 'Extinction' and the prior film may be pretty loose, or that Bay is leaving the door cracked for a return. But then, those aren't really revelations either.

Better is the newly released image of Grimlock, leader of the Dinobots and one of the most popular Transformers. Here's how the story describes how he'll be depicted on screen...
"an all-digital creation, he’d be 150 feet long from tail to nostrils, 63.5 feet tall from the ground to the top of his horns, and weigh 850 tons."
Hopefully he'll get to tangle with Lockdown, the bounty hunter who is neither an Autobot or a Deception. Check out a picture of him below. Transformers: Age of Extinction opens June 27th.
