'Magic Mike XXL' Gets July 2015 Release Date

Ladies, it's time to start saving up those $1 bills again. Now that Channing Tatum's Magic Mike sequel has a title, Magic Mike XXL, and a director in Greg Jacobs, the only thing it needs now is a release date. Warner Bros. has slotted the film for July 3rd 2015, joining the crowded pack of blockbusters and basically squaring off against Terminator: Genesis that week.

What else do we know about it? Nothing concrete except Tatum is again writing the script based on his past experiences, and he's indicated in the past it would be more of a road trip movie. That fits with the conclusion of the prior film which saw his character leaving the club Xquisite behind to forge a new path. That would seemingly write off the majority of the cast, but at last weekend's MTV Movie Awards, Tatum said he thought everyone would be back.

Tatum: “I think everyone’s gonna be back, I think, Obviously no one’s deals are done which is always kind of scary.”

Joe Manganiello has been pretty chatty about the film so we can assume he's back, and where else is Matthew McConaughey going to get a chance to get all patriotic like this....?
