New Trailer for 'The Grand Seduction' Starring Taylor Kitsch and Brendan Gleeson

If you're one of our DC readers and you haven't been attending the DC International Film Festival, aka FilmFest DC, well then shame on you. The event opened last week with the Canadian comedy, The Grand Seduction, a remake of the 2003 film Seducing Doctor Lewis, which if you've seen it looks an awful lot like Doc Hollywood. With next month's release date rapidly approaching, a new trailer has been released to help drum up a little buzz.

Starring Taylor Kitsch and Brendan Gleeson, it centers on a hot shot doctor passing through a small coastal community full of quirky characters. To help fulfill a lucrative contract, the townsfolk and the mayor must pull out all of the stops to get him to fall in love with their town so he'll stick around. Don McKellar (The Red Violin) is directing this one, with a script by Michael Dowse (Take Me Home Tonight) and Ken Scott (Delivery Man), the latter having written the original.

This looks like a straight-up crowd pleaser and could be a smart comedic turn for Kitsch. The Grand Seduction opens May 30th.
