New Trailer for Robert Rodriguez's 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For'
When Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller unveiled Sin City back in 2006, it was a stylized, revolutionary piece of work. It was as if Miller's comic were springing from the pages right onto the screen, and with a cast of A-listers inhabiting that hard-boiled world it was truly something special. This summer Sin City: A Dame to Kill For finally arrives after numerous delays, and and although the stars and technology appear to be the same, there's a decided lack of buzz surrounding it.
A new trailer has been released and it's basically just an edited version of the one that hit the web a few weeks ago. Josh Brolin is one of the handful of new faces, replacing Clive Owen in the role of Dwight who must prevent being murdered by his former flame, Ava Lord, played by Eva Green. That's just one of the many gritty stories following Sin City's notorious and extremely violent residents. Even the good guys are pretty bad.
Rodriguez hasn't done much to give the film a fresher look, and that may be why it's been lost in the summer crowd. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For opens August 22nd.
