Shailene Woodley Tells a Sad Story in New 'The Fault In Our Stars' Trailer
Shailene Woodley can be seen busting up factions and kicking lots of ass right now in Divergent, and considering the film has been a smash hit she'll be doing it for awhile. But she still finds time to branch out into dramatic territory, where I personally think she excels, and her next shot out of the gate will be The Fault In Our Stars, an adaptation of John Green's bestselling novel about young love, hopes, dreams, and unfortunately cancer.
A new trailer for the film has been released, and it seems to be walking a nice balance between sad and hopeful, funny and poignant. Woodley and her Divergent co-star Ansel Elgort play two teenagers stricken with cancer who meet at a support group and fall in love. The chemistry between the two is palpable (he played her brother in Divergent which is...weird), and I suspect there will be plenty of misty eyes in the theater. People should enjoy this innocent version of Woodley while they can because once White Bird in a Blizzard comes out all that stuff goes out the window.
Directed by Josh Boone, The Fault In Our Stars opens June 6th.
