First Footage from David Ayer and Brad Pitt's Tank Thriller, 'Fury'
The bulk of David Ayer's movies up to this point have centered on the brotherhood or lack thereof amongst cops. Some were good, but most weren't and tended to be corrupted by the power their badge provides. Ayer is heading into different territory with Fury, a war flick following a tank crew in the thick of WWII fighting. And while the scenario has certainly changed, that band of brotherhood is again at the center of everything.
The first footage from Fury has been released and it looks like potentially powerful stuff, which is why Sony gave it a release date in the midst of awards season. Brad Pitt, who took home an Oscar as producer of 12 Years A Slave, stars as battle-ready Sgt. Wardaddy, with Jon Bernthal, Shia LaBeouf, Michael Pena, and Logan Lerman as the other members of the team fighting to get out of Nazi territory.
Fury opens on November 14th.
