Interview: Djimon Hounsou Talks 'How to Train Your Dragon 2' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy'

There's little chance I'll ever forget Djimon Hounsou's powerful, heartbreaking performance in Jim Sheridan's In America, for which he earned a Best Supporting Actor nomination. Probably should have won, too. Hounsou has worked steadily ever since and earned plenty of other accolades for his work in Blood Diamond, Amistad, and Gladiator, but his upcoming run of films is going to increase his profile even further. This past weekend he could be heard voicing the villain Drago Bludvist in Dreamworks' How to Train Your Dragon 2, and that will be followed later in the summer by his role as Korvath in Guardians of the Galaxy. Hounsou is now officially part of the Marvel Universe and that's pretty darn cool. And that's just the start of it as he's also booked roles in Tarzan and next year's Fast & Furious 7.

So yeah, he's a busy guy, which is why my colleague +Tim Gordon  and I were honored when Hounsou took a few minutes to talk with us about How to Train Your Dragon 2 and, of course, Guardians of the Galaxy. You can watch the interview below and be sure to check us out on Addicted to Film every Sunday night at 7pm on Listen Vision Radio.
